Reservoir Geochemistry Print E-mail

Hydrocarbon geochemistry data may also indicate whether there are elements of the composition of the hydrocarbons that may ultimately affect their deliverability during production (for example, whether they contain waxes, or whether the hydrocarbons have undergone any in-reservoir alteration, such as gas-stripping, biodegradation or water-washing).  In addition, hydrocarbon geochemistry can be applied at a detailed reservoir scale to provide essential insights as to the connectivity and/or compartmentalisation of reservoir units prior to reservoir development and production planning.
